FOLLOWING a sell-out run in June 2021 and fresh from winning best stage production at the Asian Media Awards, Bent Architect’s Full English returns to Kala Sangam from May 11 to 14.

Full English explores personal histories from the Canterbury estate in Bradford, where Natalie Davies grew up, along with her mother and her nan.

Back in the late 1950s, migrant workers started to arrive from Pakistan and Bangladesh. These young men met and fell in love with local lasses, including Natalie’s nan.

Alex Croft, creative director of Kala Sangam, said: "Full English was a highlight of our programme last year and we know that many people missed out on tickets, so we are really excited to be bringing it back.

"Natalie’s family story will be familiar to so many people in Bradford and by asking what it means to be a Bradfordian, the show celebrates what is great about this city."

Tickets are pay what you decide, which means they can be booked in advance at kalasangam.org but you do not have to pay anything until after you have seen the show.

Performance dates are Wednesday, May 11, Thursday, May 12, Friday, May 13, and Saturday, May 14. Start times are at 7.30pm. There is 2pm matinee on the Saturday.
