TWO Bradford firms have been fined £2,000 in total for failing to comply with police.

Roseberry Group BFD Ltd and Apex Marketing Consultant, both based in Bradford, were found guilty of failing to provide police with the identities of drivers who were alleged to have committed offences.

The case of the first company was heard at Newcastle Under Lyme Magistrates' Court last Friday (April 29).

No representative for Roseberry, an estate agents based in Unit 3 of Chesterfield House, attended court and the firm was proved guilty in its absence.

The offence related to a request made in Keele by, or on behalf of, the Chief Officer of Police for Staffordshire, on September 15, 2021.

The request was for information from Roseberry relating to the identification of the driver of a blue Audi RS6 Avant, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

Roseberry was ordered by the court to pay £1,210 in total.

This includes a £1,000 fine, a £100 surcharge to fund victim services and costs of £110.

The balance must be paid by May 29.

The case of the second company was heard at Sheffield Magistrates' Court on Tuesday (May 3).

No representative for Apex Marketing, based off Yew Tree Grove, attended court and the firm was proved guilty in its absence.

The offence related to a request made in Sheffield by, or on behalf of, the Chief Officer of Police for South Yorkshire, on January 26 this year.

The request was for information from Apex relating to the identification of the driver of a white Mercedes Sprinter van, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

Apex was ordered by the court to pay £1,210 in total.

This includes a £1,000 fine, a £100 surcharge to fund victim services and costs of £110.

The balance must be paid by May 31.
