A FAMOUS comedian said Bradford's St George's Hall is one of his favourite venues to play following a stellar performance last night.

Rob Brydon came to town to perform a Night of Songs & Laughter with his live band on Wednesday night.

Brydon talked about his personal musical journey and fronted a selection of songs from Tom Jones to Elvis.

By all accounts, the show lived up to its name with many audience members taking to Twitter to sing its praises.

John Cade said: "An absolute pleasure to very briefly meet Rob Brydon after a frankly joyous evening at St George's Hall

"Thank you to all involved. It was an absolute class act."

"Fab night Rob. Thank you for coming to Bradford," added Janice Rosenberg.

Georgina Barber said: "What a fantastic night watching Rob Brydon at St George’s Hall.

"Absolutely hilarious did not want the night to end. Can’t wait to book and go again."

Before the gig, Brydon was full of compliments for the historic venue.

He tweeted: "Ready for tonight's show at the beautiful St George's Hall in Bradford, one of my favourite venues."
