THERE is still a police scene in place 24 hours after the discovery of a male's body. 

There was a huge police presence on Pudsey Road, near Tawny Beck and Ridge View, Pudsey, yesterday and officers remain at the scene today. 

Police tape can also be seen blocking off a section of wooded area. 

Officers were called to the scene at around 11.40am on Tuesday by the ambulance service.

In a statement issued yesterday, a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "At 11.39am this morning, police were contacted by the ambulance service who were attending a report of a male found unconscious near to the junction of Pudsey Road and Ridge View in Pudsey.

"He was pronounced dead at the scene."

No further updates have yet been issued by police.
