A MAN has been charged following a stabbing during Eid prayers at a Bradford mosque on Monday.
Bradford detectives have charged a Wyke man with attempted murder after a man in his 20s was seriously assaulted in Newton Street, West Bowling, Bradford.
Fezan Hussain, 26, of Radfield Road, Wyke, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
He has been remanded into custody to appear at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court tomorrow morning.
The charge is in relation to the incident inside the Madni Masjid Islamic Centre on Newton Street.
The victim, who police said was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary in a critical condition, remained in hospital tonight in a serious condition.
A police spokesperson added: "As a man has been charged, the Contempt of Court Act is in place and we ask residents to refrain from making comments which could potentially prejudice forthcoming legal proceedings."
