Bradford's Radha Kaushal-Bolland impressed the Masterchef judges during her 10-year anniversary tribute challenge of the 'Buttery Biscuit Base' song.

The 23-year-old law graduate from Bradford cooked up a storm last week, securing her place in the second heat of the culinary contest.

Judges Gregg Wallace and John Torode opened the show commenting on the major anniversaries the British public will be celebrating this year from the Queen's Platinum Jubilee to the BBC's 100th anniversary.

Not to mention, it is 10 years since the iconic Top 40 hit 'Buttery Biscuit Base' song was released.

Radha was only 13 years when the song was originally released and the law graduate admitted that she wasn't much of a fan of the tune itself, finding it a bit 'annoying'.

The aspiring chef was excited by the tribute challenge though, describing it as fun, creative, inventive and crazy.

Radha's take on the brief was to draw on her childhood memories of having boiled eggs and soldiers with her family.

She presented the judges with a tropical cheesecake with a twist, since it was served in an eggshell alongside a mango and passionfruit sorbet, toast created out of a buttery oat and honey biscuit and crumb.

The amateur chef also soaked mango in some prosecco and finished her dish with a lime gimlet cocktail.

Tasting the dish, John commented that the plate had "some real majesty" and that it "looked like it belongs in a fine dining restaurant".

Gregg went on to joke that the "little cocktail should come with a health warning" but also had nothing but praise for her attempt.

Radha left the challenge feeling quietly confident but certainly needed something to calm her nerves.

The law grad joked about needing some of the prosecco to take the edge off before crouching down behind her bench.

Radha had the other contestants and the audience in stitches with many viewers taking to Twitter to share their love for the law graduate.

One fan wrote:" Radha trying to secretly neck her prosecco during the judging is an all time great MasterChef moment. Legend. Star. Icon. She is the moment."

Another user said: "Radha drinking champers under the worktop You go girl!"

Radha impressed the judges so much that she was voted straight through to the finals by John and Gregg.

Meanwhile, viewers raced to social media to congratulate her on becoming a finalist.

One person tweeted:"#Masterchef Well done Radha, quarterfinalist. Team Radha."

While a second added: "Yay Radha! Go on girl!
