A BRADFORD man was issued a community order after he admitted to committing fraud by falsely advertising a graphics card on Facebook marketplace.

Joshua Walker, of Lund Street, intended to make a gain of £825 for himself in Bradford on June 16, 2021.

He will now have to pay that value in compensation following the hearing at Bradford And Keighley Magistrates Court on March 7 of this year.

The 20-year-old must also pay an £95 victim surcharge and £85 in court costs, making the total £1,005.

The community order means Walker has to carry out 60 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months.

Walker committed the 'fraud by false representation' offence, which is contrary to sections 1 and 2 of the Fraud Act 2006.
