A NUMBER of people have appeared in court over the last few weeks for speeding on the 50mph section of the M606 motorway in Bradford.

A total of 12 people have been handed, bans, fines or driving penalty points for speeding on Bradford's M606 motorway.

Information published by magistrates’ courts in Bradford, has revealed drivers convicted for speeding on the motorway's section which has a 50mph limit and were clocked by the speed camera positioned there.

Here are the names of 12 people who have appeared at magistrates' court in Bradford over the last four weeks for speeding on motorways.

  • Alan Reed, 65, of High Street, Barmby on the Marsh, Goole, was disqualified from driving for three months, fined £139, ordered to pay £110 costs and a £34 victim surcharge for exceeding a 50mph speed restriction on a special road/motorway - automatic camera device, on M606/62 motorways, Bradford, at 60mph, on November 25, 2020.
  • Miroslav Balog, 27, of Ashton Road, Oldham, was given three driving licence points, fined £220, ordered to pay £90 costs and a £34 victim surcharge, for exceeding a 50mph speed restriction on a special road/motorway - automatic camera device, on M606 Southbound 150yds south of the slip to Chainbar roundabout, Bradford, at 64mph, on October 25, 2021.
  • Michelle Harpley, 45, of Princes Crescent, Bradford, was given four licence points, fined £330, ordered to pay £90 costs and a £34 victim surcharge for exceeding the same 50mph speed restriction, at 67mph, on September 25, 2021.
  • Maros Pompa, 37, of Littleton Road, Salford, was given six licence points, fined £660, ordered to pay £90 costs and a £66 victim surcharge for exceeding the same 50mph speed restriction, at 85mph, on November 11, 2021.
  • Saif Sharif, 23, of Coniston Avenue, Huddersfield, was given four licence points, fined £246, ordered to pay £90 costs and a £34 victim surcharge for exceeding the same 50mph speed restriction, at 68mph, on November 23, 2021.
  • Jessica Rogers, 29, of Stockwood Road, Chippenham, Wiltshire, was given six points, fined £246, ordered to pay £90 costs and a £34 victim surcharge for exceeding the same 50mph speed restriction, at 73mph, on November 27, 2021.
  • Mark Cheung, 59, of Hawkesworth Street, Liverpool, was given six points, fined £369, ordered to pay £90 costs and a £34 victim surcharge, for exceeding the same 50mph speed restriction, at 76mph, on November 2, 2021.
  • Ben Capewell, 37, of Green Oaks Path, Widnes, was given six points, fined £497, ordered to pay £90 costs and a £49 victim surcharge for exceeding the same 50mph speed restriction, at 81mph, on November 6, 2021.
  • James Mellor, 26, of Lincoln Gardens, Goldthorpe, Barnsley, was given four licence points, fined £214, ordered to pay £90 costs and a £34 victim surcharge for exceeding the same 50mph speed restriction, at 67mph, on November 6, 2021.
  • Stephen Houghton, 60, of Grangemoor, Runcorn, was handed three licence points, fined £161, ordered to pay £90 costs and a £34 victim surcharge for exceeding the same 50mph speed restriction, at 59mph, on November 18, 2021.
  • Tara Wood, 52, of Shadwell Street East, Heywood, was given three licence points, fined £220, ordered to pay £90 costs and a £34 victim surcharge for exceeding the same 50mph speed restriction, at 64mph, on October 18, 2021.
  • Lee Dooley, 55, of Thorpe Mount, Leeds, was given five licence points, fined £440, ordered to pay £90 costs and a £44 victim surcharge for exceeding the same 50mph speed restriction, at 69mph, on November 25, 2021.
