A KEIGHLEY man has been convicted for stealing a mobile phone from a person at court in Bradford.
Michael Jackson, 61, of Aireworth Street, faced one charge of theft – other – including theft by finding.
Jackson stole a white Samsung A10 mobile phone to the value of £600 from another person at Bradford Crown Court on November 26, 2020.
Jackson pleaded not guilty at a hearing held on April 30, 2021 but was found guilty following a summary trial.
He was handed a community order, which includes a four-week curfew requirement with electronic monitoring. Jackson was also ordered to pay £300 costs, £100 compensation and a £95 victim surcharge.
Jackson was sentenced at a hearing held at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on April 19, 2022.
