THERE is a huge presence from the fire service at a barn fire in the district and firefighters will remain at the scene into the evening.
Crews from across West Yorkshire were called to the blaze, on Green Lane in Silsden, just before 2pm.

A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Three buildings are involved in the fire, approx 80 x 60m."
Road closures in place north of Silsden: Cringles Lane, Bank Lane, Jowett's Lane, Walker's Lane. @WYFRS dealing with a large barn fire. Avoid the area if possible.

There were reports throughout the afternoon of a number of fire engines and other emergency vehicles heading toward the scene, with lots of smoke visible across the skyline.

Road closures have been put in place by police around the area and firefighters are tackling the blaze using four large jets.
A spokesperson for the fire service said the barn contains straw which is "nearly burnt out".
