THE Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer continued with another celebrity-packed line-up.

The bakers had to tackle making jam roly-poly among their three challenges in the fifth and final show of the series.

The contestants braving the tent last night were singer Ellie Goulding, actor and comedian Mawaan Rizwan, actor Tracy-Ann Oberman and presenter Sophie Morgan.

Here is Sandy Docherty’s verdict of week five’s episode, as she continues her weekly Telegraph & Argus column which will be online each Wednesday morning while the series is on.

Sandy took part in the 2015 series and is the child protection and welfare officer at Titus Salt School in Baildon.

She said: “It was good fun. Once again, I enjoyed the challenges.

“One I thought I could make was the marble cake. I loved the jam roly-poly with custard.

“They’re all used to these cakes and desserts, but no-one knows how to make them.

“I loved the bakers. I liked all of them.

“I think the biscuit challenge was great, absolutely brilliant.

“You can go along and make them and raise money. Biscuits are a good thing to go off and for selling. You seem to get a lot for your money.

“There was such a lot of hope in the story last night for Stand Up for Cancer. The girl featured had so much hope in recovery rather than it being someone passing away.

“It was very poignant to have a message of hope in there last night.

“The winner was Ellie Goulding. They all had something to offer in the end.

“I quite liked the challenges. Everybody had achieved something. Sophie was having a really good time.

“It’s been a great five weeks. That’s what’s needed, you can fundraise with fun.”
