THE OCCUPANTS of two vehicles have been taken to hospital after a crash on the M62 this morning.
Three lanes were closed and there is queuing traffic following the collision on the M62 Eastbound, from J26 M606 J1 (Chain Bar) to J27 M621 (Gildersome).
The crash involved three vehicles and was first reported shortly after 7am.
Police did not confirm how many people were injured and taken to hospital, but said that their injuries are not believed to be serious.
Traffic has also been queuing on the opposite side of the road due to onlookers.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Police are attending a road traffic collision on the eastbound M62, close to Junction 27.
"The collision is believed to have involved three vehicles which briefly blocked all three lanes.
"The occupants of two of the vehicles were taken to hospital but it is not thought that their injuries are serious.
"The report was received at 7:16am today (20/4)."
