TEACHERS have said they are in the 'land of the giants' because pupils are so much taller than they were 50 years ago.

The NASUWT teaching union warned of the risk of future health problems because children are 'wedged into' chairs and desks that are too small.

As most things are done on laptops nowadays, do schools really need desks?

I would have thought that a classroom full of bean bags or those hideous gaming chairs would solve the problem. Kids could tun up, flop down, flick open their laptops and get to work. It would be home from home.
