AN Idle woman will go on trial later this year for allegedly breaching Covid laws.
Lindsey Rogers has pleaded not guilty to failing to close a restricted business in a Tier 3 area on New Year's Eve 2020.
The charge relates to the White Swan pub in Idle, and reads that on December 31 2020 Rogers "failed to close the premises and cease providing food or drink when there were six to eight people in the premises drinking."
The charge has been brought by Bradford Council.
Rogers, of The Green, Idle, was due to appear at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates Court yesterday, but was unable to attend. In her absence a letter from her solicitor was read out, informing the court she intended to plead not guilty.
A trial was fixed for October 4.
