A BRADFORD man has appeared in court for stealing men’s coats from a city branch of Next.
Darren Wood, 46, of Church Street, faced one charge of theft from a shop.
He was convicted for stealing two men’s coats, valued at £125, from Next located on Valley Road, Bradford, on March 19, 2022.
Wood was handed a 12-month conditional discharge, ordered to pay a £22 victim surcharge and £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
A collection order was made at Wood’s sentencing hearing with the court applying for deductions from his benefit. The outstanding balance must be paid within 14 days.
Wood pleaded guilty to the theft from a shop charge when he was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on April 6, 2022.
