TRAFFIC was held on the M606 motorway this morning following the discovery of a man's body.

A cordon was in place and the motorway was blocked while emergency services attended the scene.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

A number of police cars and an ambulance could be seen on the motorway carriageway.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said the man's body was found by the side of the motorway at just before 7am.

He said: "Enquiries are on-going to establish the full facts of what has happened.

"Road closures were put in place north and southbound from the Staithgate Roundabout."
