AN AIR ambulance was spotted landing near a busy bypass and hospital after an incident today.

Multiple members of the public saw the yellow helicopter flying above the Cottingley and Bingley area this morning.

It then looked to have touched down just behind The Yorkshire Clinic, off Bradford Road, and Nuffield Health Cottingley Fitness & Wellbeing Gym, which are near Bingley Bypass.

Mark Shutt took pictures of the air ambulance at 10.54am.

The sighting of the helicopter caused much discussion on social media.

One person said there was a bad accident, with a cyclist injured.

But these details are not officially confirmed at this point.

The T&A has contacted West Yorkshire Police for comment.
