A TWO-YEAR-OLD was unrestrained in the middle seat of a car that was speeding at almost 100mph on a motorway.

PC Martin Willis - who is better known as Motorway Martin on Twitter - caught a white vehicle going above the speed limit on the M62 last night.

It was clocked at doing 97mph.

He pulled the car over and inspected inside.

It turned out there was a two-year-old child in the back, who was sat, unrestrained, in the middle seat between two adults.

A car seat for the child was found in the boot of the car.

PC Willis said at 9.12pm yesterday: "Just stopped this vehicle for exceeding the speed limit on the M62.

"Looked in the rear and a child aged two was sat, unrestrained, in the middle rear seat, between two adults.

"On further investigation, the car seat for the child was in the boot."
