A WOMAN was rushed to hospital following a huge car crash on a major Bradford road.
The two-vehicle collision occurred on Mayo Avenue at around 6.15pm on Friday evening.
The woman was released from the car by firefighters after she had suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
It is understood the junction of Mayo Avenue and Manchester Road was closed for a couple of hours whilst police and the fire service cleared the scene.
A police spokesperson said: "There was a two-vehicle road traffic collision on Mayo Avenue at 6.15pm.
"A woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries."
A spokesperson from the fire service added: "At 6.22pm, we were called to a road traffic collision.
"We released one female casualty then she was left in the hands of the ambulance service.
"Two crews attended, Bradford and Illingworth."
