WEST YORKSHIRE Police is urging people to know the signs and symptoms of spiking ahead of the Bank Holiday weekend.
Officers are encouraging people to make safety a priority and ensure that everyone has a good night.
Police say that symptoms of being spiked include blurred vision, difficulty breathing, feeling more drunk than usual, hallucinations, loss of balance and memory, muscle spasms or seizures, nausea and vomiting and difficulty walking and talking.
If a drink has a foggy appearance, excessive bubbles, sinking ice or a strange colour, it may have been spiked, they added.
Police say if you see spiking happening, you should make security aware, call the police and call for medical help immediately.
People are also encouraged to use the ask for Ask for Angela scheme if they feel in danger or uncomfortable.
