POLICE have recovered a van in Holme Wood that had been stolen from Wakefield.
Officers from West Yorkshire Police's Bradford South Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) were out conducting community engagement work in the Holme Wood estate yesterday.
They discovered a blue Ford Transit van and a silver Jeep parked up.
Checks showed the van had been stolen more than 10 miles away, in Wakefield.
The officers recovered the vehicle for forensic work and to return it to its rightful owner.
Meanwhile, the Jeep was recovered as abandoned.
Checks showed it had no keeper, insurance and tax.
It was also insecure and leaking oil all over the road.
A spokesperson for the Bradford South NPT said: "Yesterday, officers were out conducting community engagement in the Holme Wood estate.
