THE Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer continued with another celebrity-packed line-up.

The bakers had to tackle making biscotti, roulade and a 3D cake on a childhood memory for their three challenges.

The contestants braving the tent last night were comedian and actor Ben Miller, Olympian Sir Mo Farah, Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse and actor Katherine Kelly.

Here is Sandy Docherty’s verdict of week four’s episode, as she continues her weekly Telegraph & Argus column which will be online each Wednesday morning while the series is on.

Sandy took part in the 2015 series and is the child protection and welfare officer at Titus Salt School in Baildon.

She said: “The comedians were not as slapstick, as funny.

“Last night was not as amusing. What I did find were four natural bakers.

“They did not stand out as crazily funny and all had a natural ability really. They all had something to offer. They were quite nice to watch as engaging bakers.

“It was quite enjoyable. As a baking programme, it was really good. The challenges were good.

“I liked the roulade. It was nice for something to go away and make over Easter.

“The reason why they are doing the programme, to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer, is tragic. There is nothing more difficult than burying a baby. That story really resonated with me, as it would a lot of people.

“To watch Bake Off and laugh is good, healthy human fun with a serious message.

“I did think it was a very, very close call for the winner. There was nothing much between them. They all came up trumps.

“They did really do well.

“Ben was a very worthy winner and got the handshake for the roulade. His Robin’s Hood Bay 3D cake was a nice Yorkshire scene. Ben seemed genuinely surprised to win.”
