Head Lisa Keighley added: “It is the absolute best award that anybody could have achieved tonight.

"It represents teamwork, effort, and a joint combination of all our skills and expertise.

"We are a great team and do a great job for our children.

"We understand the challenges and rewards of every day school life and we accept this award on behalf of all the schools and staff across the Bradford district.

"Together we can! Teamwork makes the dream work. None of us is a person on our own. We are all together. We have all been there for each other, supporting the children and our families.

"We will have to have a very special assembly tomorrow."

A parent who made the nomination also sang the school’s praises saying their child “comes home telling me about all the amazing things they learned and that all the staff from reception to teachers to the head are always so helpful. Nothing is

too much trouble.”

Another school representative said: “We always talk about our Blakehill family.

"Everybody does say we are a really, really good team.

“It’s a great place to work and nobody ever leaves. Once we’re here we just stay and we’re really proud of everything we do for our children.

“Our children have a really good education here.”
