A CITY centre car park deemed "surplus to requirements" could become a new car sales site.
Bradford Council says the car park on Paradise Street, off Westgate and behind the derelict Jesters Pub building, is no longer needed.
And a planning application to change the use to a car sales site was recently submitted by Sakhwat Mehmood. The application will also involve the construction of a small on-site office, a canopy for car valets and a security fence around the site.
Flats planned for former Bradford city centre gym
The application says the site will be leased from the Council for a period of at least two years, and so the office will be temporary. Access to the site will be from Aston Street.
The business would create two full time jobs.
A decision on the application is expected later this month.
