POLICE and First Bradford have confirmed that a bus was attacked and its window smashed with a stone on an estate.

The 645 service was the victim of yet more vandalism on Monday, as it went through the Ravenscliffe area.

A spokesperson for First Bradford said the bus was targeted at 4.30pm on Ravenscliffe Avenue - which is the road the service used to enter the estate, heading away from Bradford.

A group of yobs threw stones at the 645 bus and one smashed a window at the rear of the vehicle, according to the spokesperson.

West Yorkshire Police also confirmed these details.

A spokesperson for the force said officers are investigating criminal damage to the bus and are checking CCTV to try identify a suspect.

The 645 refused to enter the estate for the rest of Monday following the attack, but was back up-and-running on the Tuesday.

It came just a few days after the same service was targeted by a group of youths in Ravenscliffe, on March 31.

A spokesperson for First Bradford said the yobs threw snowballs - which supposedly had stones in them - at the bus and smashed a window.

The 645 stopped running through Ravenscliffe on that day too, but was again serving the area on April 1.

West Yorkshire Police has issued an appeal for witnesses in relation to the attack on April 4.
