BRADFORD locations will be on the small screen once again when Gentleman Jack returns tonight.

The BBC series has become a huge hit and the new series, which follows the story of lesbian landowner Anne Lister, played by Suranne Jones, has been hotly anticipated.

The show is based on the collected diaries of Lister, which were part-written in cryptic code.

David Wilson, Director of Bradford UNESCO City of Film, said: “We are all really excited to see the return of Gentleman Jack on BBC One this weekend.

“It is such a unique and compelling story based on the diaries of Anne Lister retold brilliantly by Sally Wainwright.

“The Bradford Film Office provided support to a number of locations across the Bradford district in season one and again in season two.

“For the latest season, Bradford locations include Main Street at Bingley, Penistone Hill at Haworth and Salts Mill in Saltaire.

“Due to the series also been released on HBO in the USA and around the world Gentleman Jack has become a global brand with many viewers interested in seeking out more information on the stunning locations used in the series.”
