THERE was an emergency services presence in Leeds this morning after what was described as a “serious collision”.
Police and fire crews were at the scene on Dewsbury Road in Beeston.
Its junction with Tempest Road was closed and diversions were in place as a result of the incident.
A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 7.24am this morning to reports of an RTC at Dewsbury Road in Beeston.
"Two crews from Hunslet Fire Station attended.
"One casualty was freed from a vehicle and handed to the care of paramedics."
West Yorkshire Police has also been contacted for comment.
