BRADFORD has been ranked as the second cheapest place in the UK to buy a second-hand car.

The data comes as a new index of 1,890 second-hand cars (under 20,000 miles, less than three years old) has revealed a difference of £3,617 in UK second-hand car prices depending on location.

In Bradford, the average price of popular second-hand is £18,396, £1,351 cheaper than the average price across the UK.

Greg Hendry, Marketing Manager at John Brown 4x4 said: “When purchasing a second-hand car, factors that affect the price of the car include location. Many individuals may not want to travel to another town or city as it’s often seen as a risk - but the chance to save thousands on the same car might make you reconsider how far you’re willing to travel for your next motor."

The research, carried out by Classic Land Rover® supplier John Brown 4x4 studied the prices of the ten most popular models of second-hand cars (according to Admiral) across 63 of the largest towns and cities in the UK.

Yorkshire as a whole is the cheapest county to purchase a second-hand car from according to the data, but Northern Ireland is home to the cheapest car deals overall.
