AN 81-YEAR-OLD man has appeared in court charged with speeding on a Bradford Motorway.
Stanley Maddigan, of Keith Avenue, Great Sankey, Warrington, faced one charge of exceeding a 50mph restriction on a special road/motorway – automatic camera device.
He drove a motor vehicle on the southbound M606 which is 150 yards south of the slip to Chainbar roundabout, at a speed exceeding 50 miles per hour – at a speed of 61mph on September 20, 2021.
Maddigan was also given three driving licence points and fined £100 for the offence.
No application for costs was made and a collection order was made in this case.
Maddigan pleaded guilty to the speeding charge he faced in Bradford when he was sentenced at Chester Magistrates’ Court on March 28, 2022.
