A DRAMATIC video shows a car hitting an oncoming car and colliding with a parked van in what might be described as Bradford's latest 'problem spot'.

The accident happened at the junction of the busy A6177 Smiddles Lane and Dovesdale Road, in the Bankfoot area, yesterday evening at around 7:30 pm.

Abdullah Farooq, an eye-witness at the scene said: " I was leaving the shop after, in front of me, I saw a red Golf hit a Toyota Carola that was coming out of the street wanting to turn.

"The Golf lost control and went flying into a parked van causing a lot of damage.

"I rushed in the middle of the road to pick up the broken car parts to avoid other drivers running over them, I asked both casualties if they were okay as they were both free from injuries but just really in shock from the drastic scenes that occurred."

The eyewitness reported that the driver was shaken up as he had only been on the road for two days.

The video shows a Toyota Carola, attempting to pull out onto a busy road, and as the driver attempts to turn right, the Golf hits the front of the car.

It seems as though the driver lost control and hit a parked van on the other side of the road.

Emergency services and police were not called to the scene.

Last week, a similar incident occurred, where a driver narrowly missed hitting a row of terraced houses as he attempted to avoid hitting a car, crashing through a stone wall.
