A BRADFORD woman has been fined for stealing a Christmas tree among other festive items from a Tesco store in Bradford.
Mary Chantal Ward, 33, of Draughton street, in the Bankfoot area of Bradford, was fined for stealing a Television, a Christmas tree, and assorted Christmas items to the value of £800, from Tesco on Halifax Road on November 29, 2021.
Ward pleaded guilty at Leeds Magistrates’ Court on March 12, 2022.
A collection order was made, and she was fined £120 and ordered to pay compensation of £400.
The total amount that ward has to pay is £520 and this will be deducted from her benefits.
The defendant’s guilty plea was taken into consideration at the time of imposing the sentence.
