A BRADFORD sixth form college has been granted planning permission to build an extension.
New College, on Nelson Street, submitted plans to build a single storey extension to provide an enlarged cafeteria and kitchen area.
The proposal is to support the long-term use of the site "and allow for the growth of the college".
A report from the planning officer said: "The college is a contemporary building, and the design, form and proposed material choices of the extension will mirror this; thus the proposed extension will maintain the character of the college.
"Due to the site layout and the characteristics of the surrounding area it is not foreseen that residential amenity issues will arise."
The report added that no highways or drainage issues were identified.
