ONE of Bradford’s longest-established retailers confirmed it was closing its doors yesterday.

Bradford Camera Exchange, which has been a functioning business in the city for more than 85 years, posted on its website that it was to close down on March 31, following the death of its owner and managing director John Greenwood last year.

The shop has been described as an ‘institution’ in Bradford, and photographers took to social media to describe their disappointment at the closure.

One customer, who did not want to be named, said: “I have been using the shop’s 35mm film developing services for many years and they have always done a great job. I don’t know where I will go now.”

On the website, Mr Greenwood’s family said they would like to thank the staff and customers for their many years of loyal support.
