An arsonist awaiting sentence for setting fire to a hostel for homeless men in Bradford today had his case adjourned for an assessment of dangerousness.
Ray Dade, 38, is in custody in HMP Leeds after starting a blaze at Bradford Cyrenians on Manningham Lane on December 2, 2020.
Dade, formerly of Manningham Lane, was sent to Bradford Crown Court by the magistrates court accused of reckless arson at the property. He pleaded guilty to starting the fire and was due to be sentenced today.
But Judge Jonathan Rose adjourned the case until June 13 for a fuller probation report examining the danger Dade poses to the community.
He will remain in custody on remand until that date.
