A MOTORIST has been issued with a Section 59 warning for driving his vehicle in an anti-social manner along Cowpasture Road, Ilkley.
The warning was given by officers from Keighley Neighbourhood Policing Team who were operating speed checks on Bolling Road in Ilkley yesterday.
Section 59 allows the police to give drivers a warning if they are reported to have used their vehicle in a manner which causes "alarm, distress or annoyance". If reported to have done so again within a year the police have the right to confiscate the vehicle.
A spokesperson for Keighley Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "This warning will last for 12 months and if seen driving again in this manner will be seized.
"Keighley neighbourhood policing team are committed in tackling local issues such as speeding/using vehicles in an anti social manner."
