A DRIVER almost three times the legal alcohol limit was arrested after his car nearly crashed into a police vehicle.
Officers from the Bradford South Neighbourhood Policing Team were on patrol in Buttershaw in the early hours of Sunday morning when the near-miss happened.
A spokesperson said: "Officers require the driver to stop but he decides to make off.
"A pursuit ensues and the driver eventually abandons the vehicle and his mates and runs off on foot before being captured."
They added: "Driver is almost three times the drink-drive limit and is arrested for dangerous driving, no licence, no insurance and drink driving."
