FIREFIGHTERS pumped water out of a flooded Keighley subway this morning – little over an hour before it was busy with charity runners!
The subway – beneath Hard Ings Road, near Victoria Park – formed part of the route of the Manorlands Keighley 10k and 5k.
One crew from Keighley fire station was called out shortly before 8am, when it was discovered the subway was filled with several feet of water due to a blocked drain.
The firefighters cleared the subway in time for the first runners' arrival.
