A MAN wanted for a domestic assault has been arrested by police after being initial reported for disqualified driving.

Police in Bradford South were notified about a potential disqualified driver and a vehicle was stopped on New Works Road in Low Moor on March 22.

Officers say it was not the initial disqualified driver they were looking for but the man they found at the scene was also banned from driving.

Subsequent police checks found the man was also wanted in connection with a domestic assault in Leeds.

West Yorkshire Police - Bradford South posted on its Facebook: “He was arrested for the assault and taken to custody.

“He was reported for the disqualified driving, the second time in less than a week…he seemed to think he may be going to prison… he may well be right.

“The vehicle was also seized. Court appearance awaited…”
