FIREFIGHTERS from West Yorkshire and further afield are tackling two walls of flames more than a mile in length on Marsden Moor.
The fire serive was called at 3.12pm to the moorland fire near Cupwith Reservoir, New Hey Road, Scammonden, Huddersfield.
A spokesperson from West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We have six fire appliances in attendance at a moorland fire near to Cupwith Reservoir in Huddersfield.
"Crews are tackling two lines of fire - each are one mile in length.
"Four blowers, ten beaters, one major pump into open water and two wildfire vehicles are in use.
"We are also being supported by six pumps and two wildfire units from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service."
Meltham, Huddersfield Skelmanthorpe, Mytholmroyd, Dewsbury fire station and two pumps from Huddersfield are in attendance along with the two wildfire unit teams.
