A WHOPPING 6,000 pints of beer were supped at a new beer festival in the centre of Bingley this past weekend.

The Bingley Sup beer festival took place on Saturday - a week after a similar event in Shipley.

With the weather being perfect for a day of drinking, almost double the amount of beer (over 6,000 pints) were drunk at the Bingley event compared to the Shipley one.

Local DJ’s kept people up and dancing as the event filled up with beer lovers, many of whom went on to make a night of it in the pubs and bars in the town centre.

Spring Back 2022 continues with Ilkley Family Takeover

It was part of the Spring Back campaign by Bradford Council to get more people back to town and village centres after Covid restrictions have come to an end.

Eddie from Raven Staging who organised the Sup beer festivals, said: “I am thrilled that both Sup events were so well received and attended. Our partners all had a brilliant day of trading and positive comments from attendees and local businesses alike keep flooding in. We’re very grateful to the funders for the opportunity to stage a genuinely community focused celebration in the heart of each town and we’re hopeful Sup will return in future."
