POLICE have ramped up patrols and are appealing for information after a firearm was discharged in the Fixby area of Huddersfield.
At about 10.59pm yesterday, police received a report that the window of a house had been shot at in The Fairway.
Armed officers were deployed to the scene and found damage consistent with a firearms discharge.
No injuries were reported.
An investigation into the incident has been launched by West Yorkshire Police’s Firearms Prevent Investigation Team.
Local officers are also carrying out additional patrols of the area to reassure residents.
The investigation team would be particularly keen to speak to anyone who witnessed a silver vehicle in the area at around the time stated.
