WEST YORKSHIRE Police has hit out at a group of youths who called 999 and shouted obscenities at them over the phone.
Four calls were made to police – by who they sarcastically referred to as “two delightful youths” – who launched a tirade of foul language at them.
But police had the last laugh when they called back only to be greeted by an “embarrassed and ashamed” mum and dad.
This evening, West Yorkshire Police’s Contact Management Centre tweeted: “Four 999 calls made from two delightful youths shouting obscenities down the phone.
“Just their luck when we ring it back their mum and dad answer and are clearly embarrassed and ashamed.
“Enjoy being grounded and your games consoles taken off you!”
