A TEENAGER is to appear in court tomorrow charged with the possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.

According to court documents, the 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was allegedly caught with a lock knife in the Kirkgate Centre.

The offence is said to have happened on December 30 last year.

The charge states: “On 30/12/2021 at Bradford had with you, without good reason or lawful authority, in a public place Kirkgate Centre an article which had a blade or was sharply pointed, namely lock knife.”

The teen denied the offence at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court in January.

He was remanded on bail until tomorrow, when he is due to appear at court for his trial.
