A MOPED rider was "tackled and cuffed" and found with drugs after driving through a bog.
Officers from West Yorkshire Police's Steerside Enforcement Team - the force's dedicated initiative for tackling anti-social and dangerous driving - tried to stop a white moped on the road over the weekend.
But the rider failed to do so and pulled off across some fields.
Police engaged its off-road officers, who went in pursuit of the moped.
The rider went over a broken-down wall, through a bog and then dumped the vehicle, before running off.
Officers chased the individual and managed to tackle and cuff them.
The rider was found with drugs on them.
Police said the rider was dealt with for having drugs and also driving offences.
The moped was also seized.
The Steerside Enforcement Team said on Twitter on Saturday night: "Failed to stop on the road, went across fields, over a broken-down wall, through a bog, rider dumped it and ran, chased on foot, tackled and cuffed.
"Drugs found and driver dealt with for that and the driving offences.
"And of course, the moped was seized."
