A CHARITY race night is being held at The Dog & Gun in St Enoch’s Road, Wibsey, to raise funds for a defibrillator to be installed on the premises.

The defibrillator will be fitted outside the pub so people can have access to the potentially life-saving equipment even when the pub is not open.

“We feel that this is an important piece of equipment that will be of real benefit to the local community. The people of Wibsey can come along to the charity night to enjoy a fun night of entertainment and also give what they can towards the cause,” said Dog & Gun manager Sam Rayner.

There are six races taking place throughout the evening, in which customers of the pub have bought horses to run.

The money raised will go into the charity pot. When it’s time for each race, the owners sit in the ‘owners enclosure’ and enjoy free champagne while they watch their horses.

“We are very grateful to the local businesses that have sponsored the races," said Sam.

There will also be raffles, auctions and entertainment running throughout the evening.

The charity race night is being held at The Dog & Gun, St. Enoch's Rd., Wibsey, Bradford BD6 3AD,on Saturday April 2 from 8pm.

It promises to be a fun evening and everyone is welcome to come along.
