A MAN has died following a road traffic collision yesterday evening, police have confirmed this afternoon.
The 36-year-old man was driving a Mitsubishi L200 Barbarian on Stranglands Lane towards Ferrybridge, near Castleford, shortly after 6.30pm yesterday.
The car was the only vehicle involved in the incident.
The driver was later found injured and was taken to hospital.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the circumstances leading up to it, or anyone who may have video footage, to contact West Yorkshire Police’s Roads Policing Unit by calling 101, or online via www.westyorkshire.police.uk/101livechat, quoting reference number 1479 of 18/3.
