Police seize massive haul of 'several thousand' packs of illegal cigarettes in Bradford
SEVERAL thousand packs of illegal cigarettes and nearly 10 kilograms of pouched tobacco were seized by police in Bradford this week.
Officers from Bradford West Neighbourhood Policing Team, working in partnership with Trading Standards officers, seized the goods on Wednesday.
Acting on intelligence, the joint agency visits were made to a number of shops in the Bradford West area.
West Yorkshire Police – Bradford West said: “Officers from Bradford West Neighbourhood Team worked in partnership with officers from Trading Standards on 16 March 2022.
“Visits were made to a number of shops trading in Bradford West, leading to the recovery of several thousand packs of illegal cigarettes and nearly 10kg of pouched tobacco.”
