A MAN suffered burns to his lower back following a fire at a house in Dewsbury this morning.
Firefighters were called to the property on Pilgrim Drive at 1.21am after the blaze broke out in a bedroom.
Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a high-powered fan to clear smoke.
As well as burns to his back, the man also suffered smoke inhalation, as did a woman at the property.
Both were taken to hospital by a family member.
Crews from Cleckheaton, Dewsbury and Ossett fire stations attended the incident.
