A MAN has been warned by the judge this is his last chance after avoiding jail for a breach of a notification order on the sex offender’s register.

Dale Codling, 33, of Churchfields Road, Brighouse, appeared in court charged with Sex offenders register - fail comply with notification requirements – Sexual Offences Act 2003.

He was jailed for 12 months for charges of grooming and engaging in non-penetrative sexual activity with an underage teenage girl in 2013. He was also placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years.

In this breach, he had failed, without reasonable excuse, to comply with the notification requirements as provided by Part 2 of that Act in that failed to register within three days an address.

Codling was jailed for 15 months, suspended for 18 months, for the fresh notification breach offence, which he pleaded guilty to at a hearing held in November last year.

In mitigation, Codling is ‘significantly remorseful’ of his breach which he admitted, Bradford Crown Court heard on March 18.

He was also ordered to carry out 150 hours unpaid work in the community and 20 rehabilitation activity days.

Recorder Jason Pitter QC told Codling: “This will be your last chance.

“It seems from your behaviour that you have forgotten your responsibility and duty.

“You have given the impression that you do not take these notifications seriously.

“This is going to have to stop.”
