THE Old Swan pub in Gargrave has reopened following £400,000 repairs and refurbishment after it was severely damaged by fire in summer 2020.

Julie Joyce, the pub's general manager said it was a new chapter for The Old Swan.

“I am so excited about the future of The Old Swan," she said.

"The team loves the pub’s polished new look and can’t wait to show people around every time a new visitor walks in the door. The new drinks menu truly has something for everybody. It is a new chapter for the pub and I cannot wait to see it go from strength to strength. We are delighted to welcome guests and the community again.”

Owners, The Stonegate Group, says the reopening of the pub, a listed building, has seen the creation of 20 new jobs in the area.

The pub features a beer garden and five en-suite rooms for overnight guests. It also has a dog-friendly family room.

There will also be a weekly quiz night, coffee and cake mornings, and live music, starting with Stealing Tamar on Saturday, April 23.
